Splash Pads

There are two splash pads located in Ajax, open from 9 a.m. until dusk:

  • Rotary Park, located on Lake Driveway at the mouth of Duffins Creek.
  • McLean Community Centre, located at Magill and Westney.

Admission Standards for Public Pools

Facility Swim test = 2 strong widths of the pool with face in the water at  lifeguards discretion.

  1. Children 6 years of age and younger may not be admitted to the swimming pool unless they are accompanied by a adult/guardian who is at least 14 years of age who is responsible for their direct supervision within arms reach and must stay in the shallow end.
    NEW  - There is a maximum of 2 children to one parent/guardian (2:1). Patrons who pass the facility swim test may swim in the deep end with a adult/guardian.

    OR
  2. Children 7-9 years of age who cannot pass the facility swim test   must be accompanied by a adult/guardian who is at least 14 years of age and responsible for their direct supervision and must remain in the shallow end.
    NEW - There is a maximum of 4 children to one parent or guardian (4:1).
    NEW - Patrons who pass the facility swim test may be admitted to the swimming pool without supervision, however an adult/guardian must be on the premises at all times.

  3. Children 10 yrs & older are permitted to swim alone without an adult/guardian on the premises. Patrons who pass the facility swim test may swim in the deep end.
  4. Slide usage -  NEW In order to use the slide you will be required to swim 2 strong widths of the pool with face in the water at lifeguards discretion.
